Non - Standard and Complex Non - Standard Swing High and Swing Low

In Module 1, Workshop 1, we will discuss the topic of non-standard Swing High and Swing Low.

As mentioned earlier on the three-step processes of identifying swing high, the standard swing high is formed when the High of four candles are sequentially lower than the High of the zero Peak candle.

However, the non-standard swing high is formed when the High of the four candles are lower than the High of zero Peak candle, but not in a sequential order.

Example Of Non standard Swing High

The non-standard swing low is formed when the Low of four candles are higher than the Low of zero Trough candle, but not in a sequential order.

In module 1, Workshop 1, we will discuss the topic of complex non-standard Swing High.
As mentioned earlier, the non-standard swing high is formed when the High of the four candles are lower than the High of zero Peak candle, but not in a sequential order.

However, there are situations when two Peaks, or Three Peaks, are formed at the turning point before more candles confirm the reversal.
We categorize these turning points under “Complex Non-Standard” Swing High.

To recognize a complex non-standard swing high, follow the same three-step rules for determining a swing high, but at step one, combine the multiple Peaks and the candles between them together, to form a single peak. The steps 2 and 3 are the same, And the High of the four candles before and after, should be lower than the High of the Peak candle. That is, regardless of the order of candles.

We categorize these turning points under “Complex Non-Standard” Swing High.

To recognize a complex non-standard swing Low, follow the same three-step rules for determining a swing Low, but at step one, combine the multiple Troughs and the candles between them together, to form a single Troughs. The steps 2 and 3 are the same, And the Low of the four candles before and after, should be Higher than the Low of the Troughs candle. That is, regardless of the order of candles.
